The family of an international rock star, including his supermodel wife, had their privacy invaded by paparazzi when visiting the sacred St Peter’s Church in Rome.
While the photographers could not be stopped from taking pictures of the family, the publishers of those pictures could be injuncted on the grounds of privacy. The privacy action was brought on the basis the family were entitled to their privacy in a sacred place of worship.
Our team was rapidly deployed and legal counsel appointed to launch the privacy action. All UK national newspapers and celebrity magazines were put on a standby Privacy Notice within 1 hour of the incident. This stopped all publication and use of these images thus retaining the privacy of the family.
